New, News, and more News

I feel like there are so many new things going on lately. First and foremost, we found out that we are expecting a baby BOY!!! We are all so excited! It will be nice to have a little more balance in our home. I'm excited to buy blue and green! Next, we started an investments company called JC Heritage Investments. We are very excited about this new company and its future. We are purchasing our first property to fix and flip this week. We are closing on Friday! As a part of our new company I have decided to go to real estate school!!! AAAAAAAAAAA!!! I'm a little scared about going back to using my brain again - I'm a little rusty! I'm also looking forward to learning and doing something like this for myself. I'm so grateful to have the support of my family, especially James and Chelsea who are going to watch the kids. I will be going to school from 8:30-12:15 Mon.-Thurs. for ten weeks. I know that I won't have another opportunity like this for a long time after the baby comes so I think this will be a great thing for me. We also decided that we are going to drive to Colorado for our family reunion. It is 18 hours but I think that it will be worth it! Other than that, I am exhausted! Here are some pictures of our Abby Lane House.

Texas Rain

I've always loved rainy days and they are even better with kids!!! We had so much fun splashing around in the puddles.

The Many Faces of Audrey

Audrey is such a goof ball. She is always saying the funniest things. We asked her what she thought about Chelsea's friend Matt the other day and her response was, "He's kind of like a dude." Yesterday while we were at church she looked at me and asked where her primary teacher was by saying, "where's princess Hansen?" I thought it was so cute that she thought that we were saying princess Hansen instead of Sister Hansen. She is so much fun!

The Girls Big Adventure

Yesterday I woke the girls up really early and I told them to hurry and get dressed because today we are going on a boat! Immediately, excitement filled the room as Audrey started jumping up and down and Rachel said, "I like boats! Boats are my favorite!" I found that a little surprising considering that neither one of the girls have ever been on a boat before. We rushed out of the house (we were running late as usual) and we were on our way. The day started out slow as we drove out to the Lake and put the boat in the water. The girls were very curious about every step and were really excited! The excitement started to wear off as things started heating up and Audrey needed to go potty. You should have seen her face when we told her that the only place to go potty was in the water. She decided that she was done with boating and wanted to go home and go to the potty. We finally convinced her to get into the water and take care of business after taking off her life jacket and her swimsuit and then putting her life jacket back on. She felt a little better about the whole thing as long as she didn't have to get her "wisuit" dirty. After a nice refreshing swim, a few crackers, and a caprisun, the kids were happy again. We spent the day watching James and our friend Mike Scurf and then Mimi went wake baording. I really wanted to water ski but decided that it wasn't worth the risk of falling and somehow hurting the baby. The kids got to go tubing and had a great time! I would say our first experience was a success. We showed up to church today a little more "pink" than usual!
