Moments

The moment of the day today was cuddling with my freshly bathed little boy in his brand new spiderman Pajamas! Priceless

Thank you!

I just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who commented on my last post. I wasn't expecting such a reaction. You are all very sweet and supportive! Me and Rachel are sitting here at the computer. I just got finished reading her all of your comments. She says, "Thank you!" Audrey came in and aked what we were doing and Rachel said, "Mom just showed me all of the people who care about me and think I'm 'beautifuller' than evey other kid." Oops! I hope this doesn't backfire on me. :0)

Inner Beauty

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful baby girl. She was born with gorgeous eyes, dark hair, and the most beautiful white skin.

But this beautiful girl was born with a flaw.

This flaw would have to be repaired. So, her parents reluctantly placed their sweet daughter into the hands of another who was more skilled than they, to repair this injustice.

They cared for her the best that they knew how.
Despite her differences, she grew into a happy, healthy, and intelligent little girl, without a hint of self consciousness.

Several years passed in peace. Before long, her strength would be tested again. This time, her perfect little feet were in need of repair.

So again, her parents placed their sweet daughter into the arms of another.

Again, she came through with amazing strength of character.

Then, the day her parents had been dreading since her birth arrived at last. The day that her peers would take it upon themselves to tell their little princess that she wasn't perfect after all. She would look into the mirror and finally see that she was different than the rest. That is when her parents would tell her that she was special, and that she was strong, and that her physical body would be perfect one day. In the meantime, she must learn of inner beauty, and that is the most beautiful of all.

I love this picture of Rachel because it is her genuine smile. She is an amazing little girl. Her short life has been filled with both trials and immense blessings! As she goes to school, she is feeling for the first time that she is different. It hurts me to see her feel different, but I know that her many experiences will make her stronger. If there is anything that I have learned from her, it is just how blessed I am and how much I am loved by my Father in Heaven. What a blessing she has been in my life!! I love you Rachel. You are perfect to me!

Women

"Women of God can never be like women of the world. The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind. There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity."

Something happened to my blog and I don't like it! I was changing my background one day and all of the stuff on my sidebar ended up on the bottom of the page. I can't seem to get it back to my sidebar no matter what I do. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Summer of Seals (Navy Seals)

James entered into a fitness competition this summer with a bunch of other guys from our area. He worked really hard! We are very proud of him! Their team took third place.

The cutest cheerleaders you have ever seen!

A bunch of James' good friends. Left to right: Garrett, Mike Keyser, James, Jason Buchanan, and Mike Sowers
The whole group. They had a combined weight loss of over 400 lbs!
