We tried to celebrate Adam's big day on the day of his birthday. Turns out it is a little hard doing Birthday and Trick or treating on the same night! LeeAnna, being the great friend that she is, let us crash her little boys first Birthday party a couple of days later. We sang to Adam and let him open up his presents there since he was unable to open them on his Birthday. Luckily, he is too little to care. Thank goodness for second chances and good friends! I feel bad for the third kid! You know this would have never happened to a first born!
I agree- second, third, and fourth kids seem to get the shaft. I don't even have pictures of Taylor on any Holidays...I'm pretty sure he was there!

ReplyDeleteI am sure it was still a blast...even if it was a couple days later! Tanner's first actual birthday was in the car on a road trip and then we celebrated with some friends a couple days later....Adam is darling and I bet he is so much fun at this age! And yes....we are identical twins, sorry it took so long for me to answer that question:)!

ReplyDeleteMy mom always had a hard time fittin my b-day in (and I too was the 3rd child). I always threw a fit that I couldn't have my b-day party with my friends on my actual birthday, but it was always TOO hard. So, she always tried to make the birthday parties on other days extra special and then on Halloween, everyone at my school would make a big deal about it being my birthday, and when I went trick or treating, all the neighbors would give me extra candy and sometimes presents because it was my birthday. Then, when I came home and my face paint was all smeared, we would do cake, candles, and presents before I went to bed! SO hard to fit it all in, but such a party! Good luck in future years. I am sure it was pretty tough on my mom to fit it all in.

ReplyDeleteAnd I am so sorry that I missed you calling on my b-day and still haven't been able to reach you. I did call a couple times on Sunday but there was no answer. Kurt took me to the Anniversary Inn and I left my phone at home.
