Vacation Suggestions!
Okay people . . . I need help!! James and I have the opportunity to take a week long vacation BY OURSELVES and I can't figure out where to go! There are so many options!!! We can pay for our airfare with frequent flyer miles so the options are wide open! Please let me know what you think. We are up for anything. It is in the first week in October so keep weather in mind. Thank you for your help!

Come on! what do you think I'm going to say! :) I'm not sure you could fly here with frequent flyer miles though. I have no other suggestions, except there are beautiful places to relax in North Carolina, places on the east coast.
ReplyDeleteoh you are sooooo luck! I envy you. I would go Thailand. Or Australia. No, Thailand. ohhhhhhhh Mexico would be fun too. How about India! How are you going to choose? Have fun!!!! I suppose this wasn't much help, sorry.
ReplyDeleteBrian and I went to Cancun last September and stayed in the nicest five star resort (The Royal)and had the most amazing time. I still get giddy when I think about it. It was so relaxing and the food and resort were unbeatable! Call me if you want more info. 801-735-6161. Or you can look it up on Expedia or one of those places.
ReplyDeleteMexico is close, very cheap, and there are a zillion things to do. I would also recommend Cancun, but I would go further down the coast and do Tulum, Chichen Itza, etc. If you do, be sure to explore some cenotes - they are the best.
ReplyDeleteIf you had a little more than a week to spend, I would for sure go to Europe. So romantic! Also, somewhere in the east in the fall would be gorgeous don't you think? Or Canada. I'm SO jealous.
ReplyDeleteTyler and I just spent a week in Costa Rica and loved it! If you get a change to go somewhere - might has be somewhere you would never take your kiddos! Other suggestion...Lake Louise Canada. We went last August and it is beautiful! Great food, fun outdoor activities, very relaxing! You should check it out online...it is closer so you might be able to get a good deal there.
ReplyDeleteHey Nicole, that for your comment! We stayed in the Four Season Resort in Costa Rica - we with on a reward trip with my husbands company so we typically would not have stayed there! It was super nice though and I would suggest it if you can afford it. If you give me your e-mail address I can send you the other places we stayed. It was a great trip but it does rain alot! You really should look into Canada - we had a blast there as well.
ReplyDeleteGlad that you've decided on Maui! It will be warm and beautiful. The Modbe sites have changed...call me and I can get you a suit. 801-766-3151
ReplyDeleteId say definately Cancun!!! It is beautiful there and my family goes every year in November and it is beautiful there!!! There is nothing like the beautiful ocean in Cancun and relaxing and beach volleyball!!! Hawaii is always good too!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, looks like your friends poll says Cancun and we just got back and would definitely have to agree! Especially if you have a week there! We wish we just had a couple more days to do more relaxing, but we wanted to see Cancun!! We also loved jamaica 3 years ago when we went, but I am not sure how well it is holding up from Hurricane Gustav!! So, you might want to check into that. But, call me if you would consider it bc we had an amazingly romantic time there too!! Lots of fun things to do!! BTW- I am 4 months pregnant! I didn't know you were! Congrats!! We should meet up for lunch one day and catch up! I love this tea room out in Tomball- I think thats close to you! Just call me or get my number from Your husband through mine so I don't have to post it!! I would love to see you!! Ash
ReplyDeleteIt's probably too late to post this but I've been on a lot of vacations lately & I've decided that Hawaii is the best place to vacation. You get the beautiful beaches, but you also get good 'ol american food. The second place would be Cancun, the only down fall of Cancun is that I got sick of the food. But that is just my opinion.
