"Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of - throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself."

I went to Women's Conference for our Stake last weekend and I thoroughly enjoyed it! This quote was read and I absolutely loved it! I had to share!
On another note . . . no baby yet. I am trying to stay strong and not be induced next week. My Mom will be here on the 17th and leaves the 27th. I am just trying not to be too antsy!

Hang in there. I was induced with Jake and Doug wouldn't let me get induced with Mikey...mainly because there was no reason to except for the fact that I was ready and uncomfortable. But once I got over that and let it happen when it was supposed to happen...it was perfect. (I don't blame you though if you do decide to get induced:)) I can't wait to see your new baby girl!!!
ReplyDeleteIt was so fun talking to you the other night. You should check out Lacey Arnett's blog... she's another natural mama and might inspire you. I love you girl! Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteOnly 4 more days, you can make it, or you can try my trick.
ReplyDeleteI scheduled to be induced with all three of my children and they ALL came the day before the scheduled date.
Thanks for the quote by C.S. Lewis. It is a keeper! Good luck with the baby. Hope she comes just in time for your mom's arrival.
