Thursday Evening at the Carters

Blocks anyone? When Mom turned on the oven to bake some potatoes, we baked blocks in plastic containers instead. It smelled wonderful!

Rachel and Adam cuddled up in a blanket to watch "Shark Boy and Lava Girl," their current favorite.

Audrey hung out with the "Big Kids" and played Rock Band.

Adam went MIA and we found him outside playing with rocks with Sonja.

Rachel and Chelsea get back from the grocery store with secrets.
She very excitedly told us all about them! (Without divulging the secrets of course!) Five year olds can't really keep secrets:)

She gets much pleasure out of keeping secrets with the "Chelsitter" as she is called when she babysits. These can be anything from listening to the "Boom Boom Boom" song or buying and eating donuts before dinner, as was the case on this particular evening!

The sprinklers were turned on much to the delight of my middle children.

Diapers were inflated.

Baths were given.

It was a good night.

  1. you are absolutely right about the small stuff... it's the best stuff..i love you and i'm sorry about your iron thing... i don't know how to fix it but i know black strap molasses is a really good source of iron... i make my bread with it and i felt like it helped me with energy during my pregnancy... hopefully that helps a bit, cutie!

  2. Baking blocks? That's hilarious. Did you find out who put them in the oven? Sometimes I store baked items in the oven (when it's off) so that my family will stay out of it. Several times I have turned the oven on to pre-heat, forgetting that there is a cake or cookies in there. One time I melted the saran wrap to my Christmas fudge. It was ruined! I really should stop storing my already baked stuff in the oven.
