I woke up this morning with a desire to write on this blog. It has been years and so much has happened. I miss documenting the simple and the significant. BIG BIG news for our family is that we are adding a new member! Justus (Jay) King will be marrying into the family on April 11th, 2023. The weirdest part about this news is that is it not weird. I feel really great about these two. They met in an online zoom class during the pandemic. He was impressed enough with Audrey that he drove all the way to Rexburg from Saratoga Springs, Utah to take her on a date. On another occasion, he drove all the way there just to pick her up and give her a ride back to visit my parents for the weekend. He felt that she was it for him pretty early on in their relationship. Things were just getting started when she went on her mission. He told her that he was going to wait for her and that he would be there when she got home. He was so supportive to her throughout her mission, never missing a week to write or send her a message and sending her packages to lift her spirits. When she came home early from her mission from illness, he flew right to Texas to see her. He has been waiting for her since they met. Well, he's done waiting! They just got engaged and will be married in three short months! I'm a bit overwhelmed about planning my first wedding but I couldn't be more excited for these cute kids.
