Audrey joined the neighborhood swim team - Shockwaves! She has done so well and has improved so much since the first practice. I was a little worried about her being too young but she has been great! She started out the first meet at a snails pace but yesterday she swam her backstroke in 39 seconds! At time trials it took her over two minutes! She has come a long way since the first meet when she stopped in the middle of the pool and tried to get the water out of her ears. Everyone was yelling at her to keep going and she just stared at everyone like "what is your problem." Since then she has won two of her heats and this is the third swim meet! It is a huge time commitment but it has been a lot of fun. We get to the meets at 7:00 a.m. and are there until 1:00. The whole neighborhood is there so there are plenty of kids for the younger two to play with and we all put up canopies to ease some of the heat. They cook breakfast burritos and then at lunch they serve hamburgers and pizza etc. It has been a lot of fun!

wow that is so great. How long has Audrey been swimming? I've always wanted to but Deacon is swimming but didn't really know when and how. This must be so fun for you and James! Yes. I have decided I must find a way to come visit! I miss you!
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha ha James is one of those awsome parents who wear the shirts!!! Gotta love it!
ReplyDeleteI love that she is so involved in swimming! I want my boys to be that way too....I am terrified of water and I don't want that to happen to them! Go Audrey!
