The other day while I was out running errands I got a call from home. Audrey told me that she had spilled a "whole bunch" of baking cocoa on the floor and that "right when I walked in and turned my head I would see it right there on the tile!" She said that Daddy had tried to clean up the mess but that he said, "Mommy will deal with it when she gets home." Deal with it I did!!!! Do not ever attempt to vacuum baking Cocoa off the floor! It is too heavy and will not get sucked up into the vacuum. What does manage to come off the floor will not make it into the vacuum bag and will come right back out onto the floor. If you use a hose it gets even worse. All of the chocolate will stay in the hose and you will have to take it off and rinse the whole darn thing out with water. So, how do you clean it up?? Sweep, mop, sweep, mop, sweep, and mop some more!! Who new it would be such a disaster!
That's awesome! Well, not really, but I have had a similar experience so I can relate. Ethan one fine day dumped a huge container of baby powder ALL OVER his bedroom, including all over a majority of his cars that he had spread out throughout his room (and by majority, I mean A LOT of cars.... that kid loves those things). So of course this is right at a time when I am trying to get out of the house to meet some friends for lunch. Let's just say I don't even know how long it took me to clean it up. I vacuumed and vacuumed and vacuumed.... and then I vacuumed some more. For a while I didn't even think that it was going to come off of the floor but it finally did. I put all of his toys in the bath tub and washed all of them off but they still to this day have baby powder on them. I guess because it is so fine the water didn't really do much (and I also had tried to vacuum some of them too). I wish that I had taken some pictures of it but at the time I was too mad and in too big of a hurry to get out of the house.
