A couple of years ago, we discovered Battle Creek Falls. It is such a beautiful waterfall that you hike down into. There is an opening where you hike down and the falls cascade over one side and the mountainside surrounds you. There is never anyone there so you feel like you have your own private falls. This year we took Marlee and Tyler. James was in Texas so we missed him but we had to get to our falls. We usually hike around the falls and let the kids get in the water and under the falls. This year there was so much run-off from the snow that we didn't dare get in. The water was coming down so hard and the river was so high and running rapid.

On our way down You can hardly see it but there is a fantastic view of the valley below.
